Balachandran Thekkepat Raman

D.O.B: 22-06-1963

Hometown: Kerala

One of the strongest mentor and backbone of ourof our PPSM family. He was a member of the Kerala State Men's Badminton team in 1985. A very evaluative coach, who started his coaching stints at PPBA from 1995 to 2007 & 2010 to 2015. He was also a coach at the Regional Sports Centre in Cochin from 2007 to 2010. From 2016, he is the technical head of PPSM.He has been associated with PPSM as Technical Head.

  • Participated in the walk of hope, a padayatra from Kanyakumari to Srinagar lasting 474 days and covering 5000 km
  • Have closely worked with Olympians like Vimal Kumar, Dipankar Bhattacharjee, Pullela Gopichand, Aparna Popat, Anup Sridhar, and Ashwini Ponnappa and scores of International and National Champions.

Irfan Khan

D.O.B: 03-07-1984

Hometown: Gulbarga, Karnataka

Irfan, our senior coach, has done NIS certification from Sports Authority of India. A former Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy coach, he has trained a large number of national and international players. Irfan has been coach of sub junior and junior state team in his coaching career. He lays more emphasis on scientific aspects of training like biomechanics, physical parameters and body posture. He provides a holistic approach strenghtening technical development as well. Irfan knows very well when to be strict and when to relax. He demands discipline on court. He's good at strengthening and physical training of the players. Besides that, he also helps in motivating the player pscyhologically.

Rohit S.P

D.O.B: 26-10-1992

Hometown: Bengaluru, Karnataka

Rohit is passionate about coaching. He is extremely dedicated and motivated towards his job. He is NIS certified from Sports Authority of India and constantly works towards bettering himself as a coach. He takes great interest in honing the skills of an intermediate player as well as in introducing the game to a beginner. But he feels he's more attracted to the challenge of training small children as that is more difficult for a coach. Rohit possesses an array of trick shots which he displays from time to time mesmerising his young students.

Ganesh Rao

D.O.B: 07-05-1972

Hometown: Bengaluru, Karnataka

Ganesh has worked with Anand Kumar Badminton Academy and played a major role in training national and state players. Later he joined PPSM and has quickly become very popular among his students. He is good with both children as well as adults. Ganesh likes to takes it step by step, one stroke at a time. Usually a gentle person, he also understands importance of strict discipline on court. He believes in focusing on basic techniques in order to grow as a player.

Tshering Samdup Bhutia

D.O.B: 24-03-1990

Hometown: Gangtok, Sikkim

Sam's strength lies in his patience. He adapts his coaching method based on his student, be it a child or adults. He is also a NIS certified coach from Sports Authority of India. Sam has a scientific approach towards coaching. Technically sound as a player, he lays great importance on technical correctness. He provides motivation to players,both, on and off court. Sam has a knack of prepping the players mentally in times of need. Sam is also strong at outdoor training. For him, physical fitness at all times is absolutely essential. Sam oberserves the players style and playing capabilities and provides appropriate inputs.

Hometown: Bangalore, Karnataka

Amruth, has the immense coaching experience of 4 years. He has worked under a very good player and a coach called Suresh from Anubava Club. He has the capability to understand the mindset and body language of the student, thus encourages, motivates, and trains them until the students get the right tone of Badminton in good manner with proper basics.

Hometown: Chennai, TamilNadu

He is a passionate badminton player is an engineering graduate from Chennai. He was born on 28 December 1991 at saidapet, Chennai, India. He has been playing badminton for the past 10 years at various levels. He has represented Tamilnadu state in the nationals. He has left his corporate job to become a coach because of his love for badminton and teaching. He loves to take up challenges and this field provides him exactly with the needed challenges and helps him to continue loving and pursuing his passionate sport, but in a different form. He loves to work with intermediate players and help them fine tune their skills, motivating young and small children towards badminton by moulding them and encouraging them in interesting ways so they would love to participate and to concentrate on the fitness side of the students and help them in increasing their agility and bring out the stamina within them..
